Establishment of efficient review process

The Protein Allergens, Toxins and Bioinformatics (PATB) committee of the Health and Environmental Science Institute (HESI) needed to develop a process for conducting an annual technical literature search that would identify articles about novel protein sequences that cause allergic reactions. They also needed to find ways to make the review of these articles more efficient for committee experts.

After interviewing HESI staff and PATB committee members, Green Heron Information Services developed a comprehensive search strategy that accomplished both goals. The strategy enabled the committee to find the most recent articles on the topic and to organize them in a way that made the review process more efficient.

As a result, Green Heron Information Services has overseen this process for the past 4 years and enabled committee members to significantly reduce the amount of time they spend reviewing results.
