Research review leads to product approval

A nonprofit organization representing a food-related industry needed to respond to questions raised by international agency regulators during the application process. The regulators asked the organization to review recent research on new gluten sequences in gluten-caused celiac. The organization’s staff had neither the expertise nor the time to provide a thorough response to the agency.

Green Heron Information Services was hired to conduct a technical literature search with two weeks’ turnaround time. We performed a comprehensive search covering all the major scientific databases and grey literature resources and identified several dozen relevant items. This information was submitted to the organization in the format specified by the regulators so the response could be efficiently composed.

As a result, the questions posed by the regulatory agency were satisfactorily answered and the organization’s application was approved.
